Social Media & Marketing guru needed!

Flexible hours. Must be local to Birmingham. 

Zen is looking for an inspiring and creative new member to join our team! We are seeking someone who is self-motivated and dynamic to help enhance our online presence. This is a flexible part-time role that can be adapted to fit your schedule; however, you will need to come into the shop at least once or twice a month. The rest of the work can be done from home.

Experience in the following areas is necessary:

  • Developing social media strategies and planning campaigns.

  • Creating content, including text posts, videos, and images for all social media platforms.

  • Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, and preferably Illustrator.

  • Good merchandising and product photography skills (must have a good-quality camera phone).

  • Design for both print and online media.

  • Contributing to the overall Zen brand.

  • Promoting products, services, and content on social media in line with the strategy.

  • Scheduling social media posts using tools such as Hootsuite and TweetDeck.

  • Interacting with customers and handling online inquiries.

  • Developing new social media strategies and campaigns.

  • Optimizing products on the website, creating banners, and advertising for e-commerce.

  • SEO and tagging for the e-commerce site.

  • Familiarity with running paid social media ads through Facebook Business Manager.

  • An in-depth understanding of social media, with proficiency in Meta Business Suite and other management tools.

  • Strong and versatile copywriting skills.

  • An interest in spirituality and our products.

  • Proficiency in email marketing (we use Klaviyo; experience is helpful but not required as long as you are willing to learn).

Hours are 1-3 days per month to begin with but could be more and rate of pay will be discussed based on experience.
