Cleanse and Get Rid of Negative Energies in your Home

Sage – Great way how to cleanse your space and get rid of negative energies. Simply light up the Sage stick and walk around the house. You can place the bundle in a metal bowl or burner and allow it to smoke for a while. Sage is an herb from the mint family that has a sweet, savoury flavour. Sage's botanical name comes from the Latin word "salvere," meaning "to be saved."

Palo Santo – Another way how to cleanse your space is using Palo Santo. Palo Santo is a sacred tree which grows in select parts of South America. It has been used for centuries by shamans in ritual prayer, ceremonies and healing. In Spanish it is called ‘’holy wood.’’ Use it the same way as Sage, light it up and walk around the house, you can also place it in a metal bowl or burner to allow it to smoke for a while.

Frankincense and Myrrh - Both frankincense and myrrh are resins. They come from trees, they are slashed and allowed to ‘’bleed’’, the sap that comes from the trees hardens and forms into little beads that we use as resin to burn and cleanse the energies. They both together make beautiful fragrance and they are used also to get rid of negative energies in the house. Using a burner, light up a charcoal disc and place it into the burner, take few pieces of Frankincense and Myrrh resin and place it on top of the burning charcoal. The scent of frankincense is described as pine and lemon combined with a sweet, woody aroma. Myrrh has a slightly earthy scent that some say smells like black liquorice.

Selenite - Selenite is great protection stone that clarifies the mind, by cleansing the aura of negative energy build up. Use Oils to Cleanse the House and Your Energy

Grapefruit oil – Grapefruit essential oil is used to reduce stress, stimulate circulation, increase energy, enhance mood, and improve digestion. Great to use Grapefruit oil on the skin, mix few drops of Grapefruit oil with carrier oil like jojoba, olive or coconut oil and apply directly to the skin or put few drops of the essential oil straight in the bath, helps with tiredness and inflammation. You can also inhale it after sprinkling a few drops of the oil onto a cloth or tissue, or by using an aromatherapy diffuser or vaporiser. It helps to reduce the stress, boost the mood and also helps with weight loss.

Lavender oil – Lavender oil is best calming essential oil, you can use few drops mixed with any carrier oils like jojoba, coconut or olive oil and then rub it to your palms or feet. Lavender essential oil can significantly improve your sleep quality. By adding a few drops of lavender oil to your pillow every evening before bed you can have a good night rest. Inhalation of lavender essential oil daily for two weeks can help with anxiety. Inhale it after sprinkling a few drops of the oil onto a cloth or tissue or you can also add few drops of Lavender oil to your bath for more relaxed feeling.

Peppermint oil – Peppermint oil is great for the house. Add some peppermint oil to your homemade cleaners to give them a fresh scent and to give them antifungal and antibacterial properties. Peppermint oil can help with breathing, mix few drops of essential oil with any of carrier oils live jojoba, olive or coconut and rub it on your chest area or simply add few drops of Peppermint essential oil to diffuser for more purified air in the house. It can also help with muscle and joint pain, allergies, hair growth and focus.

Cleanse and Detoxify with Pink Salt

Himalayan salt –Himalayan salt is rock salt that comes from the Punjab, Pakistan. Many people use Himalayan salt in daily bases, like cooking, by replacing normal table salt with pink Himalayan salt. Apart from using Himalayan salt for culinary purposes, it can also be substituted for bath salts and added to relaxing salt and mineral baths that allow the skin to soak up minerals from the water. The salts help get rid of bacteria, viruses, yeast and other opportunistic organisms.  They also drive toxins out of the cells and tissues. It can improve mineral status in the body, hydration, reduce muscle cramps and balance blood sugar. Lemon Balm- Lemon balm is a perennial herb from the mint family. The leaves, which have a mild lemon aroma, are used to make medicine. Lemon balm is used alone or as part of various multi-herb combination products. For a soothing lemon balm bath, put some fresh (or dried) crushed lemon balm leaves into a bag, then let the warm water run through it as you fill the tub. Lemon balm also adds a light lemon flavour to a variety of culinary dishes, such as salads, pasta, fish, chicken, sauces and marinades. Lemon balm is used for digestive problems, including upset stomach, bloating, intestinal gas and vomiting. Helps with pain, including menstrual cramps, headache and toothache, and for mental disorders, including hysteria and melancholia.

Works great like an herbal tea - daily serving: use 2 teaspoons of dried leaves per person, per cup of boiling water.

Peppermint- Peppermint tea is sometimes referred as "the stomach healer" because it is known to soothe the stomach, help with stomach pain, cramps, heartburn and indigestion. If you drink it as herbal tea use fresh or dried peppermint leaves, one teaspoon per cup of boiling water, leave it for 5-12 minutes for it to brew.

One of the major side effects of peppermint tea includes serious stomach disorders. Diarrhoea, muscle pain, cramping, drowsiness, tremors and drop in heart rate are some of the side effects of the over-consumption of peppermint tea.
