Rose of Jericho Plant (Resurrection Rose)

Sale price£7.50

The Rose of Jericho, known as the "resurrection plant," appears dry and lifeless until placed in water - then it miraculously comes to life.

This hardy desert plant survives without soil or moisture and can be revived again and again. A true symbol of renewal and resilience.

Key Details & Care

How to Wake It: Place the dry plant in a shallow dish of room-temperature water. It will begin to open within 3 to 7 minutes and fully unfurl in 24 to 48 hours.

Maintenance: Do not leave it submerged in water indefinitely, as it will rot. Keep it green for a few days to a week, then remove it from the water and let it dry out completely to return to its dormant state.

Light: It thrives in bright, indirect light.
Cultural Significance

Spirituality: Widely used in various traditions (including folk magic, pagan beliefs, and Middle Eastern traditional medicine) for prosperity, peace, and protection from negative energy.

Lore: In Christian tradition, its unique lifecycle is associated with the resurrection of Christ, hence its namesake.
