Smudge cleansing is the practice of burning sacred herbs, most commonly white sage, cedar, sweetgrass, or palo santo, to clear a space, object, or person of unwanted or stagnant energy. At its core, smudging is about energetic purification, intention-setting, and inviting positive energy.
